1. Customer Relations Assistant - Grade: J ( Full time indefinite contract )

( Siam Square and Ladprao centres )

Starting salary: 20,513 B

Job Duties:

  • To deliver or support the delivery of Customer Relations services to internal and external customers through face to face, telephone and email to Teaching Centre Client Service Standards in order to meet customer needs and enable the Council to meet its corporate objectives.
  • To take responsibility for daily received income in a professional manner that meets global standards.
  • To support all administrative back-up duties or other duties as required in the operation of the teaching centre.

Note for candidates: There are 2 vacant positions - 1 in Siam Square and 1 in Ladprao.

2. Teaching Assistant - Grade: J ( Hourly-paid fixed term contract )

( Chiang Mai centre )

Job Duties:

  • To assist teacher in supervision and monitoring of children's work
  • To motivate children to participate in classroom activities 
  • To orally interact with children
  • To supervise the students before & after classes and during break times
  • To assist teachers in setting up and helping clear up the classroom
  • Other duties.  checking attendance, handing out work etc.

3. Communications Assistant - Grade: H ( Full time indefinite contract )

You will support the marketing communications team in Thailand in developing a positive perception of the UK, of the British Council and promoting its products and services in Thailand through strong PR and communications portfolio.

4. IELTS Examiners - Chiang Mai centre

The exams unit is looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Examiners in Chiang Mai.

You will need:

  • An undergraduate degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
  • A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or recognised equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
  • At least 3 years full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one year post certificate level qualification). The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).
  • The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills.

Cost: 5,000 THB for applicants who will not examine in Chiang Mai. This charge is waived for applicants who will examine in Chiang Mai.

Training will be conducted between Monday 10 and Thursday 13 May 2010.
